Just wanted to say a big Thankyou!!

On Saturday we left for Normal, IL for the Winter Jam concert at Redbird. My grandma housed the girls and Adam's parents housed the guys. We had a blast at the concert!! Then we took the youth to Adam and I's home church, East White Oak Bible Church. It was quite a new experience. Adam and I were really thrilled to show the kids around the town we grew up in. We talked about "our story" and shared our testimonies. The kids ate a lunch at our church prepared by some very special people in Adam and I's life. It brought tears to my eyes to see so many family and church friends gathered to meet our "kids" and offer homes/food, etc. We had a wonderful weekend! After little sleep, a loud concert, and 3 hours of driving back to Indianapolis, I think we brought the kids home exhausted...or maybe that was just the youth leaders.

I just wanted to post a few pictures from our vacation to sunny Cancun, Mexico. We left January 1st and spent the week with the May family. The water was warm, beaches were beautiful, and we were all together as a family! No snow, frost, or wind chill...

Just wanted to encourage you all with a song that touched my heart today as I practiced playing it for the worship team:

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane,
I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all
Yeah, He loves us,Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,Oh! how He loves.

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

As of lately

~From Michelle~
So, this has probably needed to be done for some time to keep up with family. So be patient with our meager attempt at better communication!! :)
God has been doing amazing things in our lives! Adam is staying on at Crossroads Church as the Directory of Student Ministries (aka- Youth Director). He fits right in with the youth!! It has been so encouraging to see all that has happened this past year at the church with the youth and how God has grown Adam and I through the whole process. We are thankful for the relationships we have formed with the youth.
I am working in the emergency room at a Heart Hospital. I have learned so much in the year I have been there. It is challenging and at times physically, emotionally, and spiritually draining, but God continues to remind me that he gives me my strength daily. If I could pick one thing I love about the ER, I would say that I love interacting with the patient's and their families. When most people come to the ER it is at a critical point and they depend on those caring for them. I love being God's hands and feet and comforting them. I am really proud to announce that last week my co-workers and I got a patient (in the middle of a heart attack) in and out of the ER and to the cath lab in 8 minutes!! It was record time and the quicker you get them to cath lab during a heart attack the better chances they have of heart muscle recovery and less permanent damage!! Go team!!
Adam and I also added a new addition to our family the beginning of August. Our beagle mix puppy Ginger. We had been wanting a dog for a while, but didn't know if we would be able to afford, train, etc, a new puppy. But God poured out a blessing for us and answered all our prayers for a dog. We got a call from a family we dogsit for that were having a hard time handling both their dogs and felt like Ginger would be better as an "only dog" in a household. This family lovingly offered her to us. They gave us her cage, all her toys, and supplies. She was crate-trained, didn't bark, (just whines :) and loves people. ALL our specific prayer requests for a dog were answered. Since adding Ginger to our family, we are enjoying every moment with her. She already knows where her special place is on the couch and has free-reign exploring critters on our little porch. And even though I didn't want it to happen, she every-once-in-a-while gets to cuddle with us on the "family" bed.
In the midst of me having a hard time adjusting to my job, and Adam waiting to hear if he was going to stay on at the church, God gave us such a blessing and reminder that he cares for even the "small" things. I pray you are encouraged in your walk with the Lord as well!
Psalm 145:10~ The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him. My mouth wills peak in the praise of the Lord.
